Treyarch is now a "100% Call of Duty studio', company head Mark Lamia has revealed to CVG.
The developer has previously worked on Bond shooter Quantum of Solace and various Spider-Man games. But now studio boss Lamia says it's totally focused on CoD - and it's nothing to do with the great Infinity Ward exodus. Which now currently stands at over 30 employees. Activision are also being sued to the tune of over $500,000,000. sheesh.
"Treyarch is a 100 per cent Call of Duty studio - and it has been for a long time now, long before any of [the Infinity Ward] events occurred," Lamia told CVG.
"We focused all of our efforts on creating the best Call of Duty game we possibly can and what that meant is not working on anything else. We are a multiple team studio and focusing on Call of Duty and Call of Duty gameplay meant focusing all of our teams on that."
One of the benefits of the restructure, says Lamia, is a dedicated multiplayer team - a first for Treyarch.
Great White Hope? Maybe.

Over the last few months we've all gotten increasingly frustrated with the poor IWNET system and Steam - for most of us it feels like we spend more time frakking around in a lobby rather than shooting the bad guys.
The announcement that COD: Black Ops would have dedicated servers has excited us all (no Taz not in THAT way) and now to really whet our appetite Treyarch have released the first screenshots for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Move your eyes downwards and let them EXPLODE all over your face.

High hopes are resting on Treyarch's upcoming COD offering, especially since the studio has claimed that Black Ops will 'raise the bar' over Modern Warfare 2. Here's hoping its something good to add to our gaming repertoire!

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has confirmed the first details of Modern Warfare 2's Resurgence Pack.
As with the first DLC add-on, Stimulus Package, Resurgence Pack will see two maps return from the original Modern Warfare. In this case, the maps making their comeback are Vacant and Strike.
Resurgence Pack will also contain new maps Trailer Park, Carnival and Fuel. And yes, it will cost around £10.00. Again.
Which I'm sure won't make us angry at all. Nope. I'm sure everyone will calmly calculate the value of said three new maps and rationally discuss whether it warrants their purchase or not. We know how these things work. We're professionals.
Resurgence Pack will be released on June 3rd.

Winning Start!

[TDS] have made an empathic winning start to their Modern Warfare 2 competitive era.
In our first match, we played EGC Squad in a Demolition match and a Search & Destroy Match!
Demolition : Invasion
[TDS] stamped their authority on the game early on & managed to see off any offence from EGC to defend both sites comfortably. In round 2, despite being a man down due to a player "crash out", we managed to plant at both sites & hold the fort for a 2 - 0 win.
Search & Destroy : Favela
[TDS] took control of the game right from the off & led 3 - 1 at the first switchover. Our discipline & communication got us through some tough rounds to eventually overcome EGC, 16 - 8.
Good games & well enjoyed by all. Heres to more competitive matches to come.  |

*DGL Champions : Season One

We are proud to announce to the squad & gaming community that [TDS] have been crowned WINNERS of *DGL COD4 League Season One, dropping Only 4 points throughout the season.
Even more impressive, was the form of Team 2, whom secured 2nd place in the league, thus meaning a [TDS] 1, 2 in the league. Team 2 has only been established for a little over 4 months, losing only twice in the league, to [TDS] 1
Great times & happy days
Thanks to all that played & supported both teams & the squad as a whole.
